MANISA _ 2024

As Manuma Studio, we designed the visual identity and exhibition of "Liberation Museum of Manisa".

Manisa Liberation Museum is a 'Memory' place that tells the story of the civil society movement that grew independently of the central authority in Manisa between 1918 and 1923. This museum mediates the remembrance of the struggle for liberation and the reconstruction of the city by conveying to visitors the events from Manisa's occupied days to the struggle for liberation and the reconstruction of the city. The museum is also designed to convey the sacrifices of unnamed heroes and the ideal of freedom to future generations. The exhibition narrative is designed to reflect an atmosphere in which hope is never lost despite the difficulties experienced.

The museum architecture is shaped by reference from the historical narrative, and the exhibition is spread across 9 rooms added end to end. The graphic design project, which we worked on in close contact with the architectural and curatorial team from the beginning of the process, took approximately 2 years. We started by creating a visual identity that would adapt to the atmosphere of the building and convey the spirit of the content. We then designed the exhibition elements by combining all the curatorial content with this visual identity.

Under construction.
